Hermes is a luxurious brand with a history more than 150 years, but it is also renowned for its young and innovative spirit. Many ingenious designers have been hired and the most advanced management methods were introduced. Some of Hermes classic bags have been smartly reinvented over the years. For example, Hermes Birkin bag has been redesigned by famous French fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier who was hired by Hermes as creative director in 2003.
JPG is the initials of the designer’s full name. Compared with regular Birkin bag, JPG Birkin is shortened with handles lengthened, which allows customer to wear it over the shoulder. So JPG Birkin is also called Hermes shoulder Birkin, and for its unisex design, it can be worn by guys as well. JPG was unveiled for spring/summer ’04 collection of Hermes.
